Graphic Designer, Print & Web
White Plains, NY
Executes creative concepts developed by the VP of Creative
effectively and efficiently to advance the Society’s mission, programs and
national signature campaigns. This person should be able to create and produce
creative and high quality artwork using current graphic design technology and
computer software packages.
Major Responsibilities:
- Translate creative briefs into effective print and website
communications for the full spectrum of the Society’s needs. - Coordinate with project teams and management on schedules,
requirements, goals and assignments as needed. - Manage own project workflow and assure the highest level of
quality and compatibility of our print and web products. - Ensure applications of company brand and imagery are
high-quality and are presented with continuity across all online company
materials. - Participate in concept development efforts.
- Work to innovate through new interactive software trends and
techniques. - Ability to effectively follow design direction.
- Thorough understanding of how typography, layout, color,
images and interactivity impact web and print design. - Desire and ability to pitch in and work on any project to
help workflow move forward. - Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Solid skills in operating Quark Xpress, Adobe Photoshop,
Adove InDesign, Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Adobe Illustrator, font utility
and system backup software in a Macintosh environment - Ability to prioritize, stay organized, make independent
decisions and follow through on commitments and deadlines - The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while
maintaining a positive, proactive work ethic and approach. - Flexibility necessary to accept and work within
collaborative design environment - Proactive, customer-oriented attitude
- Capable of working effectively with a broad range of
individuals within and outside the organization
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree.
Relevant coursework in design preferred.
Experience Requirements:
- 5 to 7 years of graphic design experience in a graphics studio or
corporate graphics department
